~Welcome to my page.~
..I'm 16, really really shy, and I like reading, writing, drawing, posting in my LiveJournal and watching gore/horror movies. I enjoy working as a library monitor at my school library because then I can see what other people are reading and borrow as much as I like. When it comes to writing, I'm an aspiring novelist and I've won many prizes for some of my stories as well as the English award at my grade 6 graduation. My favourite genres are fantasy, sci-fi and horror. I am in love with the macabre and mysterious. When I like something it’s NOT because someone tells me it’s ‘good’, it’s because I, myself, like it. I’m not a trend follower, whatever’s popular one day is not popular thenext, there’s no point to being a slave to mass marketing. Modern TV and pop music sucks save for the odd show or song. Bring back the 80’s! I don’t watch much TV at all except few decent shows which are, sadly, no longer made like Invader Zim and the Addams Family. I am in love with Chris Pohl ♥! If you asked me to name the current Top 40 chart chances are I'd only know one song I saw on YouTube because I quit listening to the radio a long time ago because of the amount of trash I hear on it nowadays. The music I listen to is a mixture of mostly goth rock and death rock, darkwave, punk rock, heavy metal, screamo, post-hardcore, dark cabaret, ethereal, grunge, some dance and, of course, Chris Pohl projects. Moving on to books, I like to read fantasy/sci-fi/horror novels as well as classic literature, particularly from the 19th century like Poe and Lord Byron. I also read comics and manga. Some of my favourite manga titles are Pokémon Adventures, Yami no Matsuei, Vampire Knight and anything shounen-ai. When it comes to comics I’m a sucker for Slave Labor Graphics titles (GloomCookie), The Sandman and The Crow. Reading on the occult fascinates me although I am not involved in practicing it. Yes, I have also read Twilight an entire year before the hype, and in my opinion it was OK but not worth the hype in one bit! Edward Cullen is NOT my type and vampires shouldn't sparkle!

One day I want to live in a big old house with my dark prince and a huge collection of books, toys and comics. Our weekends would be spent watching old cult and horror films and sharing stories and drawings. We'd go to clubs, gigs and the theatre lots and afterwards we'd take a stroll through some creepy dark place, order a pizza, go home and sing along to old or little known songs for the rest
of the night.

This is where I'd put song lyrics trying to make myself sound deep, but I'm not going to do that because the lyrics to a song another person wrote are never as deep as the words one writes oneself, besides where's the originality in that?
